How ChineseFace collects, uses, shares, and keeps personal information, including the photo you upload for a Chinese face reading, your account, and payments.

Welcome to chineseface.app. ChineseFace offers Chinese Face Reading from your photo: it describes visible features of a face you upload and explains how the Chinese face-reading tradition talks about those areas. A limited free preview is available; it is not unlimited free use.
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can see or delete.
Your photo: The photo you choose to upload for a reading. You must be 18 or older and the photo must be of you.
Your reading: Appearance descriptions (for example "straight eyebrows"), approximate positions of facial areas used to draw your face map, and cultural knowledge entries. Feedback you send about a reading card is stored with that reading.
Account details: Your email address, name, sign-in method (Google), and account settings, if you create an account.
Payment and billing records: Purchases, subscriptions, credit balances, and refunds. Payments are processed through Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
Device and usage logs: Technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, access times, and security logs. Free-preview counters use a salted network identifier together with a device cookie.
Support messages: Emails you send to support@chineseface.app.
We use your photo only to produce your reading. We do not use it to identify you, to recognize you in other photos, or to compare you with other people, and we do not build a face template or face-recognition profile. We do not infer or report emotion, personality, health, age, ethnicity, religion, or similar characteristics. We do not keep your original photo after your reading is generated.
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, to connect you to readings you created without an account, to help enforce the limited free preview, and to remember preferences.
To check photo quality and create, show, and export your reading;
To run your account, credits, and subscription;
To process payments and handle refund requests;
To prevent abuse and keep the service secure;
To answer support requests;
To meet legal obligations.
We do not run ads and we do not sell personal information.
An AI model provider: To fulfill your request, your photo is sent to an external AI model provider that returns appearance descriptions and approximate feature positions.
Payments: Stripe processes payments.
Hosting: The site and its data are hosted by Cloudflare.
Email: An email provider sends account and support messages.
Sign-in: Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
Authorities: When the law requires it.
Readings stay available in the product for a limited time, unless you delete them sooner; readings in an active Pro account can stay until you delete them. Account details are kept while you use your account. Payment records are kept as required for accounting and legal purposes.
You can delete a reading at any time from the reading page. When you are signed in, your dashboard shows your readings, credits, plan, and payments. To ask about your data or to close your account, email support@chineseface.app.

ChineseFace is only for people 18 or older. Do not upload photos of anyone under 18.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
